flash plug-in failure

Running now iMac OS X Sierra 10.12

Safari 10.0

Adobe Flash Player 23.0

Prior to my upgrade to Sierra I was getting this same message on El Capitan: "Plug-in Failure". I thought that upgrading to Sierra may solve this problem, well, it hasn't.

I play a game of Facebook and I prefer to use Safari. I have been using Chrome and do not get the message. However, with that said I WANT MY SAFARI back. I have removed the flash and reinstalled it and still get the same problem. I have followed the directions to make sure the preferences were set correctly and they are. Nothing seems to rid this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try going to Safari/Preferences/Security and make sure Allow plug-ins is checked. Then click Plug-in Settings and make sure Flash is checked.

I thank you for your response, however, as it is stated in my dilemma I have gone to the Safari Preferences ->Security->Allow Plug-in ->and Adobe Flash is checked...the problem continues.
